Banana Lollipops
Bananas become lollipops when dipped in melted chocolate and peanut butter chips and rolled in crushed nuts and cereal. This light and sweet treat is fun to make and creates a perfect snack or dessert with fresh fruit.

Recipe For Banana Lollipops
Chilled bananas coated with peanut butter and chocolate are topped off with crunchy, crispy rice cereal to make delightful banana lollipops. This light dessert made with fresh fruit is a kid and adult favorite recipe!
Melting peanut butter chips along with the milk chocolate chips softens the flavor and adds another delicious dimension. If you don’t have peanut butter chips I think the recipe will still taste great with a stronger chocolate flavor.
We absolutely love the chocolate and peanut butter combination in our Chocolate & Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats, Flat Buckeyes, and Peanut Butter Cookies with a Chocolate Kiss.

I would like to melt a big bowl of chocolate to dip strawberries and pretzels and make these dipped bananas at the same time.
Just like when you dip strawberries or other fruit in chocolate the fruit should be of good quality and ripeness that you enjoy. I like to eat dipped fruit within 1 to 2 days for maximum quality and freshness!
Ingredients Needed
- Bananas – need to be ripe, but still firm.
 - Milk Chocolate Chips
 - Peanut Butter Chips
 - Oil – we typically use vegetable oil, but shortening works as a substitute to help make the chocolate smooth during the melting process.
 - Nuts – nut pieces or ice cream topping is what we use, but often we leave them out.
 - Cereal – Rice Krispies are the brand name of crispy rice cereal, but a lot of basic cereal could be crushed up to create that nice crunch.

Another cool and refreshing treat that we love in warm weather is our Simple Strawberry Popsicles.
Step By Step Instructions
- Chop nuts or place nuts on cutting board and break into small pieces with a rolling pin.
 - Stir nuts and cereal together.
 - Peel bananas and cut in half. Place bananas on popsicle sticks.
 - Using a microwave safe bowl melt peanut butter chips, chocolate chips and oil or shortening. Microwave for short intervals and stir often until chips are melted and the mixture is smooth.
 - Use a butter knife or spatula to spread chocolate mixture over the bananas. Roll in cereal and nut mixture and place on a cookie sheet covered in wax paper to prevent sticking.
 - Return to cookie sheet and refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes.
