This is a great food to bring along to parties and share with friends. We have used a variety of fruit, but apples, strawberries, and bananas seem to be our favorites. This dip is perfect to serve with a Classic Fruit Tray.
If there’s extra peanut butter dip we add it to a smoothie like this Green Monster Smoothie so that we don’t waste any food. We like making this fruit dip because we typically have both peanut butter and yogurt on hand.
My nine-year-old son was the first one of us to make this high protein dip recipe. He got the recipe from his first year 4-H cooking book. We’ve made this recipe several times and we like to make enough to snack on for a couple days. The yogurt makes the dip lighter and the peanut butter gives it a richer taste.
A couple sweeter fruit dips that we enjoy are our Cheesecake Dip for Fruit and Easy Cinnamon Fruit Dip.
Ingredients Needed:
- Creamy Peanut Butter – crunchy doesn’t work well in this recipe.
- Greek Yogurt – plain yogurt is our preference, but vanilla works fine too.
- OJ Concentrate
- Apples – we like red apples that are slightly tart the best
How To Make Peanut Butter Dip
Using a small mixing bowl and firm silicone spatula measure out the three ingredients and stir well.
Mix well and scoop into a smaller dish.
Wash and slice apples to serve with the dip.
Set a smaller dish on a plate surround with sliced apples or fruit and enjoy!
Recipes Tips and Tricks
- Store extra dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 to 3 days.
- My son really likes the orange juice concentrate, so he uses more of that.
- The parents like how the yogurt makes the peanut butter creamier and easier to dip.
- PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter can also be used to make this dip. The moisture from the yogurt is helpful in making the powder back into peanut butter.
