Sweet Cream Cheese Dip Recipe

Marshmallow fluff is a great way to sweeten cream cheese. I love the bright notes and fresh flavors that a grated orange peel adds to the cream cheese and marshmallow cream.  A dash of ginger brings the whole recipe together to make a wonderful sweet cream cheese dip.

We almost always have a fruit tray or a couple of varieties of fruit at parties. Easy Cinnamon Fruit Dip was always my favorite until a friend gave me this recipe.  Cheesecake Creme Dip is my new favorite dip for fruit!

The original title on the aged recipe card is Cheesecake Creme Dip for strawberries.  The first time we made this we dipped strawberries and blueberries, but bananas and melon would taste great too!

Marshmallow Cream Cheese Fruit Dip

We’ve shared ideas for How to Make a Fruit Tray and a Simple Charcuterie Board which are a couple of our favorite party foods.  This marshmallow cream cheese fruit dip fits perfectly in either presentation.

We don’t always have a party planned when we make this cheesecake dip.  Sometimes it’s nice to have a special treat for a snack or a light dessert to go along with a family meal.

Of course, the fruit is important to include in meals, but I love having fruit at parties because sometimes it’s the only thing my kids will eat.  When the excitement is high and there’s simply not time to sit down they will graze on small pieces of fruit.

This dip tastes great with just strawberries if there’s no time to make an entire fruit platter. We also enjoy dipping pretzels in the sweet cream dip along with fruit!  It is very versatile!

Another fruit platter dip that is a little bit healthier is Peanut Butter Yogurt Dip.  Since we try to eat a lot of fruit it’s nice to have a variety of dip options.

Cream Cheese & Marshmallow Creme Fruit Dip

Cream cheese makes this recipe rich like a cheesecake.  Marshmallow creme makes the dip sweet.  Blended together these ingredients are super creamy.

The orange rind brings the brightness and adds the flavor component that I really crave.  A dash of ginger adds a woody, an aromatic tone that is wonderful.

I gave my toddler a bowl of fruit and a couple of teaspoons of this fruit dip.  She didn’t realize the fruit and dip were made to eat together.  She went for the dip and ate it by the spoonful!

How to Make EASY Cream Cheese Fruit Dip

  1. Blend softened cream cheese and marshmallow creme well using a mixer.
  2. Add orange peel zest and ginger; stir well
  3. Serve with fresh fruit
  4. Store in the refrigerator

Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounce package cream cheese softened
  • 7 ounce jar marshmallow creme
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange rind
  • dash ginger

Instructions
 

  • Whip together cream cheese and marshmallow creme until well blended.
  • Stir in rind and ginger.
  • Serve with fresh fruit.
