How to Make Apple Dapple Cake
Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease and flour a 9 x 13 inch cake pan.
Combine sugar and eggs. Beat well. Add oil and cream mixture.
Slowly add flour, baking soda and cinnamon. Stir well. Gently fold in chunks of apples and nuts if desired.
Pour into cake pan and bake 40 – 50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center of the cake.
We enjoy the cake served warm or at room temperature.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator since the cake is so moist it will spoil more quickly

We prefer cooking or baking apples for this recipe. Those varieties are cortland, jonathon, suncrisp, honeycrisp, golden delicious, empire, melrose, cortland, rosalee or granny smith.

I just found your blog, and am going to make this cake, but I wanted to point out a typo in the glaze ingredients, and make sure I make it right. The recipe lists 1/2 cup brown sugar, then 4T brown sugar. I’m sure it should be 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 4T BUTTER, but could you please verify? Thanks!
Yes, you are correct! I’ll get that fixed right away. Thanks for the note 🙂
