Are you craving warm cookies and milk?  These cookies are the best dark chocolate and oatmeal cookies I’ve had! I love the fullness the oatmeal adds and the touch of sweetness from the dark chocolate.

I can’t resist a delicious cookie with oatmeal from our Old Fashioned Oatmeal Raisin Cookies or Cowboy Cookie Bars to No-Bake Peanut Butter Cookies or White Chocolate Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies.

Oatmeal Cookie Recipes

My dear neighbor and baker extraordinaire shared this recipe with me and it’s one of my favorite cookies!  She reduced the amount of sugar from the original recipe which makes the cookies more hearty than sweet and I love that!

Old fashioned oats make the cookies more filling and dark chocolate chips pull all of the ingredients together for a perfect flavor combination!

The boys in my family prefer these sweeter farmhouse chocolate chip cookies, but I like variety so I make both of these great cookie recipes!

We’ve moved away from Tina, but I remember her bringing me warm cookies fresh out of the oven many times when she babysat and helped me with many things.  Her recipes probably hold an extra special place in my heart because of the extra special role she’s played in my life.  She and her family were part of the crew that lifted me up and carried me out of an especially dark season of life when I couldn’t do much for myself.

I like to use this cookie scoop to make balls and bake about half of the recipe.  Then I take the other half of the dough, form balls and freeze them.  Frozen dough only takes a minute or two longer to bake, and keeping some on hand means you can have warm cookies anytime.  Keeping frozen cookie dough in the freezer has been a great way to impress guests over the years.  Who can pass up good company and warm cookies?

These Easy Cowboy Cookie Bars are another great cookie with chocolate and oatmeal.  We hope you enjoy all of these cookies as much as we do!
