As Easy Kielbasa Sausage Appetizer
A cross between Hawaiian Garlic Rolls and Pulled Pork Crescent Rolls, this recipe works great as a main dish or cut into bite sized pieces to serve as an appetizer on toothpicks.
Our neighbor stopped by to help test this recipe and immediately went home to make it for her family. This sausage appetizer recipe always gets rave reviews!
We have Crock Pot Smoked Sausage and Potatoes, Kielbasa Sausage and Cabbage, and Kielbasa Rice, but we don’t have any bite sized party food with the popular meat.

We tested this recipe to find the easiest way to wrap, slice and serve the sausage.
Ingredients Needed
- Kielbasa – aka Polish Sausage or the similar smoked sausage.
- Crescent Roll – a tube of refrigerated dough, store brand or Pillsbury is fine.
- Minced Garlic and Garlic Powder – we like to add this flavor inside of the roll and on top.
- Butter – use the real stuff for the best flavor, skip the margarine.
- Parmesan Cheese – grated blends in the easiest.
- Parsley – dried herbs, can substitute Italian seasoning.

Step By Step Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Mix together Parmesan cheese and granulated garlic. Spread over unrolled triangles of crescent dough.
Cut Kielbasa into chunks as wide as the end of the triangle that you start rolling on. Lay the meat across the dough and roll up.

Roll up sausage with the ends exposed and not covered up with dough. This will keep the slices more uniform for serving.
Melt butter and stir in garlic powder and parsley or another green herb. Spoon, brush or pour over the top of the rolls.

Bake in a preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.

Slice each roll into 4 bite sized pieces and serve warm. These always disappear quickly because they taste so amazing!
Recipe Tips
- Keep the dough very cold as it is much easier to handle, warm dough is tricky to work with.
- We prefer serving in thinner slices that are easy to put on a toothpick and enjoy in one bite compared to chunks that require a fork to eat properly.
- This recipe is easy to customize with your favorite seasonings – using everything bagel seasoning is another popular option.
