Creamy Kielbasa and Pasta
Slices of Kielbasa and broccoli florets mix with pasta in a rich and creamy Alfredo sauce to make a flavorful skillet meal.

An Easy Kielbasa and Pasta Alfredo Recipe
We think of Fettuccini Alfredo as a restaurant quality meal. A friend tested this recipe and shared she couldn’t believe how easy it is to make it with Kielbasa Sausage. Since Kielbasa is precooked it makes the pasta recipe come together so much faster than using chicken or shrimp!
Our favorite tomato based sauce is excellent in our Kielbasa and Rice skillet recipe and Cajun Bowtie Pasta with Sausage. A difference with the creamy sauce is the noodles need cooked in a separate pot and then stirred into the sauce, so this is a two pot recipe.
We wanted to create a new dinner option, so we experimented with this Kielbasa and Pasta Alfredo recipe, testing it both in the crock pot and on the stovetop. The crockpot is great to make a double or triple batch for a sports team, but the stove top is just as easy for a single batch.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
Savory Kielbasa Sausage is full of flavor and a natural companion to this rich, creamy sauce. We love a using heavy whipping cream to make a thicker more indulgent alfredo, but you can easily add more milk to make a smoother sauce.
The subtle hint of garlic and mild broccoli enhances every bite in an enjoyable way.
What I Love:
- Alfredo sauce is much easier to make at home than I imagined! This recipe is easy for anyone to make, especially when using sausage since it’s so versatile!
- A restaurant quality meal that is made in 30 minutes with common ingredients.
- As a farmer I know that most of the pork that we eat is grown here on farms just like ours. About 1/3 of the pork raised in the United States Comes from Iowa, so we’re supporting farmers in the midwest when we buy pork at the grocery store!

Ingredients Needed
- Kielbasa – A pound of pre-cooked sausage is easiest, our second choice is cooked Italian sausage, slices are easier to eat than crumbles in this dish.
- Pasta – we like 12 ounces of fettuccine (3/4 of the package) or bow tie pasta – both have plenty of surface area to scoop up the amazing sauce.
- Creamy Alfredo Sauce – Butter, cream cheese, grated parmesan cheese, minced garlic, pepper and salt to taste.
- Broccoli – a 12 ounce bag of broccoli florets or 2 to 3 cups of fresh broccoli cooked until tender.

Step By Step Instructions
Start pot of water boiling while slicing the Kielbasa into bite sized coins.
Use 1 to 2 tablespoons of butter to brown sausage, but know that butter will burn much faster than vegetable oil. Set aside once browned.
Melt remaining butter.

Then add cream cheese and melt over low heat. It won’t look great, but keep stirring until fairly smooth.
Pour heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic into the mixture and heat until thickened for about 5 minutes. Keep the heat on medium to low and stir occassionally.

Mix in fully cooked, tender noodles and use tongs to carefully mix in as this can be a messy job.
Turn heat to the lowest setting and continue to stir if the noodles aren’t quite ready.
Add cooked broccoli and sausage and use the tongs to gently incorporate.

Serve immediately and enjoy.
Slow Cooker Option
Melt butter and block of cream cheese cut into cubes over low heat. Stir a couple times over 30 minutes.
Add heavy whipping cream, Parmesan cheese, garlic, salt and pepper. Continue to stir occasionally until the mixture thickens. This takes about 30 minutes.
Stir in cooked pasta, broccoli and Smoked Sausage. Bowtie pasta is easier to stir in a crock pot than fettuccine noodles.

Using a slow cooker is great when you want to double or triple the batch to feed a crowd or a big sports team!
Jennifer’s Recipe Tips and Tricks
- Can use 1 teaspoon of garlic powder or 2 cloves or 2 teaspoons of fresh minced garlic. We prefer fresh garlic when available to make the sauce the highest quality.
- Ensure the pasta cooks until tender finishes cooking at a similar time as the sauce or generously butter the noodles to prevent from sticking while finishing the alfredo.
- Can cut cream cheese in half and use more milk than cream to thin the sauce, this recipe is easy to customize to fit your personal preferences.
