This is my go-to EASY recipe for semi-homemade pizzas, air fryer pizza sliders or pizza subs.

Since I’ve learned to cook Air Fryer Pizza Sliders are my number one favorite recipe for a quick and easy lunch or dinner!

Using Hawaiian rolls or English Muffins are my favorite crust for individual pizzas, but the crust and topping options are nearly unlimited.

Air fryer tray of mini pizzas

Air Fryer Mini Pizzas

You may know by now that Pizza (and Stromboli) are my favorite food groups from Pizza Spaghetti Casserole to Pizza Meatloaf or Sausage Pizza Bubble Up. I even like dessert to come in a Candy Pizza!

This pizza recipe has been on my menu for years and this is definitely the meal that makes me feel most comforted! I began baking them in the oven, but now I always make them in our Cuisinart Air Fryer & Toaster Oven because it’s quicker and easier.

The air fryer toaster oven can be used to both toast the mini pizzas and bake them or warm the pizzas and melt the cheese. Baking in the oven is easy too, but it can take a little while for the oven to heat up. The toaster oven doesn’t need much time at all to heat up.

These individual pizza subs are super easy to personalize. Our family of four enjoys different cheeses and toppings and this is a meal that is super easy to personalize, so we don’t mind accomodating the kids in a meal like this. My favorite way to personalize is to add sliced mushrooms.

Pizza sliders on Hawaiian rolls

12 Hawaiian slider rolls fit on my Cuisinart Air Fryer tray. I like to break sliders into groups of three to make a slider sub. When I make English muffins 4 whole muffins or 8 halves fit on the tray.

I like that portion control is so easy with these. Choose how many halves of English muffins, slices of bread or slider rolls you’d like and prepare that many. Making extras is possible, but I typically prefer to make just what I need for that meal.

When reheating mini pizzas they do taste much better warmed up in the air fryer compared to the microwave. Turn to convection bake and 350 degrees F and watch for all of the cheese to melt on the pizza, then enjoy!

There’s a chance when we’re confined to our home for weeks at a time we stress eat on occasion and enjoy these pizzas, Air Fryer Candied Bacon and Bacon & Cheese Loaded French Fries in the air fryer on the same day…

Pizza Ditties

A dittie is a short simple song and a pizza ditty is a short simple recipe that tastes good any day of the week. Add a quick salad or some Air Fryer Broccoli or Air Fryer Roasted Mushrooms and an apple to these pizza ditties for a super easy meal for one or two people. Make several ditties or sliders for a family with kids.

This is the recipe that I’ve eaten most in my entire life. I think I alternated between “Pizza Ditties” as I used to call them, the blue box of Kraft mac and cheese and lunch meat sandwiches to get through college. While my palate has broadened I still love a couple air fryer pizza sliders any day of the week!

Our Pizza Sticks are another variation of classic pizza ingredients that our family loves.

As an adult this is still one of my comfort foods as well as Chicken & Bacon Carbonara and Farmhouse Crock Pot Spaghetti.

Tips for Making Toaster Oven Pizza

  • Substitutions are fine – pizza sauce is about the only ingredient I haven’t substituted and enjoyed the result over the years
  • I enjoy pizza blend cheese with is a blend of white cheeses like mozzarella and provolone, but my son loves a cheddar blend
  • When available adding a layer of sliced provolone cheese will really step up the flavors of this dish
  • Toasting the bread or crust before topping with cheese and desired ingredients
  • Mushrooms, onions and peppers taste great as optional toppings
  • Pepperoni can be substituted for hard salami, cooked and crumbled sausage and bacon are delicious too
  • Cover baking tray tightly with foil for easier cleanup
  • Serve open-faced or make a sandwich, whichever is easier or more fun for you to eat

How to Make Mini Air Fryer Pizzas

Use whatever bread, rolls, buns, English Muffins or bagels you have on hand to make the most amazing personal pizzas ever.

Slice slider rolls almost in half and lay open on a foil-covered baking tray and toast lightly.

Spread pizza sauce evenly on bread. Layer with slices of cheese and then add shredded cheese for the best pizza sliders.

Top with pepperoni and other desired toppings. Sprinkle Italian seasoning on top.

Set air fryer convection oven to convection bake and 350°F. Bake for 5 to 10 minutes until cheese is melted.
