Can Oreo Crumbs Stick to Rice Krispie Treats?

There is a brief period of time when the cereal and marshmallows come off of the heat where the marshmallows are melted and sticky.

When the marshmallows are still warm is the best time to stir in Oreo crumbs or sprinkle them on top of the treats so they’ll stick. Gently press pieces of Oreos to maximize contact with warm marshmallow cream to help the pieces stick better.

Smaller pieces of cookies are easier to get to stick to the Oreo Rice Krispie Treats than larger pieces.
