Smores Cereal Bars

Golden Graham cereal is coated in creamy marshmallows with chocolate chips and Hershey’s bar pieces scattered on top to make ooey gooey Smores Cereal Bars.

Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 8 cups Golden Grahams cereal 11.7 oz box
  • 3.5 ounces marshmallow creme 1/2 small container
  • 10 ounce mini marshmallows
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 Hershey Bars broken into pieces, optional

Instructions

  • Melt butter over medium heat.  
    5 tablespoons butter
  • Once the butter starts to melt, turn down to low heat and add the marshmallow creme. Stir to combine.
    3.5 ounces marshmallow creme
  • Add 5 ounces of regular mini marshmallows - reserving some to sprinkle on top. Continue stirring.
    10 ounce mini marshmallows
  • When the marshmallows are nearly melted remove from heat and add the cereal about four cups at a time. Stir well. Add chocolate chips and remaining marshmallows, stir well.
    8 cups Golden Grahams cereal, 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Pour into a 9x13 pan.  Smooth out the top.  Sprinkle Hershey bar pieces and remaining mini marshmallows over the top, press to help them stick.

Notes

  • Marshmallow creme can be left out to decrease gooeyness
  • Amount of cereal can be increased to decrease gooeyness
