Ingredients

  • 2 granny smith apples
  • 2 8 ounce tubes crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 8 ounces mountain dew
  • 1 -2 teaspoons cinnamon

  • Wrap each slice of apple in one triangle section of crescent roll dough. Lay spaced evenly in a single layer in the bottom of the 9 x 13" baking dish.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat melt butter. Then stir in sugar and vanilla. Stir often until mixture comes to a boil.
  • Pour over apple dumplings immediately, scraping pan with a spatula.
