Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream butter and sugar.
    1/2 cup butter, 1 cup granulated sugar
  •   Mix in egg and applesauce.
    1 cup unsweetened applesauce, 1 egg
  • In a separate bowl mix together dry ingredients except for raisins and nuts.  Mix well. 
    2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Add raisins and nuts and mix lightly.
    1 cup raisins, 1 cup chopped nuts
  • Spoon onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.  Refrigerate any extra cookies.
