19"unbaked pie crust
Pie Filling
6cupsthinly sliced apples
1/4cupflour
1 teaspooncinnamon
114 oz cansweetened condensed milk
20caramelsabout 5.5 oz or 1/2 a bag
Streusel
3tablespoonsflour
2tablespoonsbrown sugar
1/2teaspooncinnamon
2tablespoonsbuttercold
Instructions
Place oven rack in lowest position. Preheat oven to 375°F. Lay pie crust in pie pan and make a shape around the outside with your fingers.
In a large bowl toss apples with 3 tablespoons flour and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
In a saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk and caramels. Over medium heat, cook and stir until caramels melt and the mixture is smooth. Immediately toss caramel mixture with apples, spoon into pie crust.
In a small bowl mix remaining 1/4 cup flour, brown sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Cut in slices of cold butter until crumbly and sprinkle over pie.
Bake for 30 minutes, then cover edges with foil and bake for 10 - 20 minutes longer until entire pie is set.
