- 1 cup butter softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup mashed bananas 2 1/2 bananas
- 1/2 cup buttermilk or sour milk
- 3 cups flour can use 1/3 oats if desired
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream butter and sugar.

Add vanilla, eggs and mashed bananas and mix well.

Blend in remaining remaining ingredients, reserving some nuts for later.
1/2 cup buttermilk, 3 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
Drop by tablespoon onto greased cookie sheet. Reserve some nuts to sprinkle on top of the cookies before baking if desired.

Bake until cookie springs back when touched about 8 to 10 minutes. This cookie will stay soft.
