Peanut Butter Bars
Rich with peanut butter, these easy bar cookies have a thin layer of melted chocolate chips on top for the perfect finish.

3/4 cup butter flavored shortening 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs 1 1/4 cups peanut butter 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
Lightly coat an 10 x 15" pan with non-stick cooking spray. Preheat oven to 350℉.
In a medium sized mixing bowl cream shortening, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
3/4 cup butter flavored shortening, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup granulated sugar
Beat in eggs, peanut butter and vanilla.

In a separate bowl sift together flour, baking soda and salt.

Slowly add dry ingredients to peanut butter mixture and mix well.
Spread into prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven, let cool for 5 to 10 minutes and then sprinkled chocolate chips over the top. Use a butter knife or spatula to smooth into an even layer. Cut into bars while still warm and enjoy!
