No-Bake Chocolate Cookies

The fastest cookies that can be made are my mom’s No-Bake Chocolate Cookies. With texture from quick oats, color from the cocoa and flavor from the peanut butter these drop cookies are classic and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups quick oats

Instructions

  • Use a medium sized saucepan over medium high heat and add butter.
    1/2 cup butter
  • When butter is nearly melted add milk, granulated sugar and cocoa.
    1/2 cup milk, 2 cups granulated sugar, 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • Cook until boiling. Stir often and boil for one minute.
  • Remove from the heat and quickly add peanut butter, vanilla and oats.
    3 tablespoons peanut butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 3 cups quick oats
  • Mix well and drop onto a waxed paper covered baking sheet.
