- 1 pound hamburger
- 1 large onion about 1 cup
- 28 ounce can petite diced tomatoes
- 46 ounce can tomato juice
- 2 - 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 16 ounce mild chili beans
Cook and stir hamburger and onion until hamburger is light brown; drain.
Stir in tomatoes (with liquid), chili powder, salt, sugar, tomato juice and Worcestershire sauce.
Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 45 minutes.
Stir in beans. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered until hot, about 15 minutes.
Note: For thicker chili continue simmering, stirring occasionally, until desired consistency.
