Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops at least 1" thick
  • pinch salt & pepper
  • 1 box dressing prepare as directed

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9 x 13 baking dish
  • Prepare box of stuffing per the directions on the box.
  • Take a pork loin and cut it into chops that are a hearty one inch thick or pick-up a pack of really thick chops.  Take the thick pork chop and cut it nearly in half.
  • Season the outside of the chops with salt and pepper.  Open the pocket and fill with prepared stuffing.
  • Use an instant read meat thermometer to look for an internal temperature of 145° F in the thickest part of the chop. These chops that were one inch thick only took 30 minutes to be cooked in a 350°F oven

Notes

  • One typical box of stuffing makes about four pork chops.
  • The secret to this recipe is not to over cook the pork. We used an instant read meat thermometer to look for an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit in the thickest part of the chop.
