Easy Arkansas Green Beans
A dark soy sauce glaze pairs with the deeper more savory bacon and is sweetened with brown sugar to make these Arkansas Green Beans.

- 36 ounces frozen green beans slightly defrosted
- 1/2 pound bacon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter melted
- 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Place green beans in a single layer in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours or on the counter for 30 minutes to slightly defrost.
Cook bacon until beginning to brown, but not crispy. Drain and chop into large pieces.
Preheat oven to 350℉. Open packages of green beans and pour into a 9 x 13" baking dish.

Sprinkle bacon pieces over top of the beans.

In a small bowl mix together the brown sugar, melted butter, soy sauce and garlic powder. Pour over the green beans and bacon.

Bake uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes until green beans are warmed through.
- We prefer Italian green beans because they are a little thicker
- Fresh green beans work fine too, we prefer not to use canned beans
