Crescent Roll Taco

- 1/2 pound cooked taco meat
- 4 tablespoons taco sauce
- 4 pepper jack cheese sticks
- 1 tube crescent roll dough
- sour cream for garnish optional
- cilantro for garnish optional
Preheat oven to 350º F
Unroll crescent dough onto a baking sheet and separate into triangles.
Spread a thin layer of taco sauce on each crescent. Add 2 tablespoons of warm taco meat to each crescent.
Cut pepper jack cheese sticks in half and lay half of a stick on the wide end of each crescent. Roll up crescent around cheese stick.
Bake about 10 minutes until golden brown.
- Greasing the sheet may make handling easier, but I've made these on an ungreased sheet without any trouble too
- Salsa can be substituted for taco sauce
- Any variety of cheese stick can be used
- Garnish with sour cream and cilantro if desired
