Ingredients
12ouncescheese tortellini
1poundlean ground beef
8ouncescream cheese
24ouncesmarinara sauce
1teaspoonkosher salt
1/2teaspoonblack pepperfreshly ground
1teaspoongarlic powder
2teaspoonsgranulated onion
2teaspoonsoregano
3cupsmozzarella cheese
Instructions
Boil water and cook tortellini according to the instructions on the package, drain and set aside.
In a large skillet over medium high heat cook ground beef and drain if necessary.
Slice block of cream cheese over the skillet and stir until melted.
Add marinara sauce and stir.
Season the mixture with salt, pepper and other herbs. Stir well.
Once meat and sauce mixture is simmering add cooked and drained tortellini to the skillet and stir well. Return mixture to a simmer.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top and bake in an a preheated 350℉ oven for 5-7 minutes. Broil for one additional minute until brown and bubbly if desired.
Notes
Once the pasta is added the cheese can be stirred in, cooked until melted and served immediately if desired. The baking is an additional step that is personal preference.
