Rich brioche bread soaked in eggs and milk with extra layers of a delicious brown sugar and cinnamon syrup makes a wonderful Brioche French Toast Casserole.

8 - 9slicesbrioche bread
1/2cupbuttermelted
1/2cupbrown sugar
1 1/2teaspoonscinnamon
5eggslightly beaten
1/3cupmilk
3/4cupwhipping cream
2tablespoonspowdered sugar
Instructions
Lay slices of bread in a 9 x 13" dish. Trim edges if necessary to make fit into two single layers. Remove from pan and set aside.
Melt butter and stir in brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread 2/3 of the mixture into bottom of the lightly greased pan.

Mix together eggs, milk and whipping cream. Dip each piece of bread in this mixture and then arrange half of the slices in a single layer in the pan.
8 - 9 slices brioche bread, 5 eggs, 1/3 cup milk, 3/4 cup whipping cream
Spread remaining 1/3 of brown sugar mixture over the layer of egg dipped bread. Then dip remaining bread in the egg mixture and arrange in a second layer.
Bake at 350°F for 25 - 35 minutes. The crust should be as carmelized as possible without burning.
Lightly dust the top of the casserole or each piece with powdered sugar just before serving.
