Ingredients
27ouncesNilla wafers2 1/2 boxes
15mediumbananas
28ouncessweetened condensed milk
16ouncescream cheesesoftened
7cupsmilk
20.4ouncesinstant vanilla pudding4 large boxes
24ounceswhipped topping3 small containers
Instructions
In a commercial sized 16 - 20 quart mixing bowl beat cream cheese and condensed milk until mixed well.
Add milk and pudding and stir together.
Add whipped topping and gently fold in by hand with a long handled wooden spoon.
Using a large aluminum foil pan (or 2 - 9 x 13" pans) layer one box of Nilla wafers in the bottom of the pan(s).
Slice half of bananas and spread in an even layer across the wafers.
Then use a large spoon to add scoops of the creamy pudding mixture and spread over the pan. Spread out as evenly as possible without pressing down and moving the bananas and wafers.
Slice remaining bananas and arrange evenly on top of the pudding.
Add another box of Nilla wafers in a layer with the flat side down over top of the bananas.
Take the remaining 40 Nilla wafers (about 1/2 a box) and crush to make about 1 cup of cookie crumbs and spread over top. Cover with foil and chill for 1 to 2 hours before serving.
Notes
7 cups of milk is nearly a 1/2 gallon
can substitute 1 of the 4 large boxes of instant vanilla pudding for banana creme to enhance the banana flavors if desired
Pudding will taste best when assembled and chilled 2 - 4 hours before serving. This allows the Nilla wafers to begin to soften without getting mushy and the bananas will still taste fresh.
