Equipment

  • Slow Cooker
  • Shredding tool or two forks

Ingredients

  • 6 pound Pork Shoulder or pork butt
  • 6 Tablespoons Lowrey's seasoning salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Jose Cuervo Margarita Mix
  • BBQ Sauce

Instructions

  • Grease or place non-stick liner in crock pot.
  • Measure 1 tablespoon of seasoned salt for every pound of pork and rub over entire pork shoulder.
  • Place pork shoulder in crock pot and at least partially submerge with Margarita Mix.  You can’t use too much (unless it makes the crock overflow), but you can use too little.
  • Cook on low for 10 - 12 hours or high for 6 - 8 hours. Pork shoulder is done when it is tender and can be easily shredded with two forks.
  • Shred and drizzle with favorite BBQ sauce.

Notes

  • Shred and drizzle with favorite BBQ sauce.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer.
