Caramel Apple Pie {Farmhouse Style}

Do you love dipping apples in caramel?  Then you'll LOVE Farmhouse Caramel Apple Pie!  This decadent pie with a streusel is the perfect apple dessert!

  • 1 9" unbaked pie crust

Pie Filling

  • 6 cups thinly sliced apples
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 18 caramels


  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter cold


  • Place oven rack in lowest position.  Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.  Lay pie crust in pie pan and make a shape around the outside with your fingers.  In a large bowl toss apples with 3 tablespoons flour and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
  • In a heavy saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk and caramels.  Over medium heat, cook and stir until caramels melt and the mixture is smooth.  Immediately toss caramel mixture with apples, spoon into pie crust.
  • In a small bowl mix remaining 1/4 cup flour, brown sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.  Cut in butter until crumbly and sprinkle over pie.  
  • Bake for 30 minutes, then cover edges with foil and bake for 10 - 20 minutes longer until entire pie is set.
