Maple Glazed Sweet Potatoes

These farmhouse style Maple Glazed Sweet Potatoes are an easy way to make sweet potatoes ahead of time for Thanksgiving or any other meal.

  • 2 1/2 pounds sweet potatoes diced, about 8 cups


  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper freshly ground
  • 3/4 teaspoon Koshor salt


  • Wash and peel potatoes. Slice and then dice into evenly sized pieces.
  • Submerge in boiling water for 10 - 15 minutes until just tender. Drain and pour into a square casserole dish.


  • Melt butter and stir in maple syrup, brown sugar, salt and pepper.
  • Pour over sweet potatoes and cover with foil.
  • Bake at 350°F for about 30 minutes until potatoes have reached desired tenderness.


-Dish can be glazed, covered and stored in the refrigerator 1-2 days ahead of baking, allow dish to warm up on the counter for about 30 minutes before baking
-1/2 cup chopped nuts may be sprinkled on before baking
