Ingredients
1/4cupbutter
5cupssugar
12ounce canevaporated milk
10ouncesmini marshmallows
1tablespoonvanilla
18ouncessemi-sweet chocolate chips1 1/2 bags
Instructions
Measure out marshmallows, chocolate chips and vanilla; set aside. Lightly grease a 9 x 13 inch pan or line with parchment paper.
Over medium heat melt butter in a heavy pan then stir in sugar amd milk.
Turn to medium low and bring mixture to a boil. This will take a while, about 10 minutes. Stir often.
Boil mixture for 7 minutes. Stir gently and stir often.
Remove from heat and add marshmallows, chocolate chips and vanilla. Once this step has begun stir firmly and continuously until the marshmallows and chocolate chips are melted. Then quickly pour into a pan and put the pan in the refrigerator or a cold location until set-up.
Notes
Follow the steps in the recipe very closely
A metal pan with square edges will make more uniform pieces
Using parchment paper makes the fudge much easier to remove from the pan
Fudge will set-up quickest in a cool spot like the refrigerator, garage or an enclosed porch
Use a bench scraper to cut uniform pieces as easily as possible
