Cheap & Easy Meal - Taco Pie

When the calendar is full and the budget is tight we all need some cheap and EASY meals like this Taco Pie.  Taco pie is a fun twist on traditional tacos.  The crescent rolls make the recipe more filling than regular tacos and this is an easy meal to make.

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 3/4 pound hamburger
  • 1 pkg taco seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 2 cups lettuce chopped
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • 1/2 cup sour cream


  • Heat oven to 400 degrees F.  Press crescent rolls into pie pan.  Separate each crescent and shape to match pie pan or quickly lay them out however you like.  
    Bake 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  • Brown hamburger.  Add taco seasoning and ketchup.  Layer onto baked crust.  Place cheese slices on top and bake until cheese is melted.
  • Add sour cream, lettuce and tomato to the top of the pie or serve as condiments for picky eaters.
