Mushroom Swiss Burger Sliders
Loose ground beef and chopped mushrooms topped with Swiss cheese and bacon bits on buttery Hawaiian rolls makes one of the best slider recipes I’ve eaten!
Servings 12 sliders
- 12 Hawaiian roll sliders
- 1 pound Lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon McCormick hamburger seasoning
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 8 ounces mushrooms chopped
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup bacon bits
- 1 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Cut rolls in half and place open faced on a baking sheet in a 350°F oven to brown lightly.
Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet and saute garlic and mushrooms over medium high heat for about 5 - 8 minutes until soft. Set aside.
Crumble and brown ground beef with hamburger seasoning. Drain beef and return sauteed garlic and mushrooms to skillet. Stir mushrooms into cooked meat.
Spread over bottom half of Hawaiian rolls. Add slices of Swiss cheese. Sprinkle bacon bits over top of the cheese. Place top half of rolls on sliders.
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and stir in garlic and onion powder. Brush or spoon over top of rolls. Bake for 5 - 10 minutes in a 350°F oven until cheese is melted and rolls start to brown on top.
Precooked and crumbled bacon is a huge time saver
We prefer buttery sliders more than sweet sliders for this recipe.
Sliders do make good leftovers. We like to reheat in our toaster oven or microwave for an easy lunch.
Sliders should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. The slider roll can get soggy if kept too long.
Slider meat may be frozen, but I do not recommend freezing the assembled slider.
