Crock Pot Broccoli and Turkey with Cheese Sauce
We are always looking for easy slow cooker recipes that use leftover turkey. Our Crock Pot Broccoli and Turkey with Cheese Sauce is a new easy meal that our family enjoys! We've made it several times since school started.
Servings 6 people
- 16 ounces frozen broccoli I prefer florets only
- 1 pound cooked turkey or chicken sliced, shredded, chunks or pieces
Creamy Cheese Sauce
- 1 cup milk
- 8 ounce cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese Mozzarella works fine too
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
Grease crock pot or use a crock pot liner. Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces and place in a layer in the crock.
In a saucepan blend all remaining ingredients except turkey on low heat. Stir often until melted and smooth.
Pour half a cup of creamy cheese sauce over broccoli.
Add cooked turkey to crock. Makes roughly a 1/4" layer of meat (cooked turkey or chicken) in a 6 quart crock.
Cook on low 2.5 to 4 hours until the dish is warmed through.
