Frost Me Not Cup Cakes

These Frost Me Not Cup Cakes are a great combination of a chocolate cupcake and brownie.  The individual portions are perfect! And the cupcake holds together well, even when you take the wrapper off. #easycupcake

  • 4 squares semi sweet chocolate or 4 ounces
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 1/2 cups broken pecans
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 eggs large
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla


  1. Melt chocolate and butter in a heavy pan over low heat.  Add nuts and stir until well coated.  

  2. Combine sugar, flour, eggs and vanilla.  Mix only until blended.  Do not beat!

  3. Add chocolate mixture to flour mixture and mix again, very carefully.  Do not beat.

  4. Turn into paper-lined baking cups and bake at 325 degrees F for 20 - 30 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.  Do not frost.
