  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cup onion diced
  • 8 ounces noodles
  • 1 1/2 cup sharp shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 green pepper diced

  • 1 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted

  1. Brown ground beef, season with salt.  Add onions while ground beef is cooking so onions soften.  Drain fat from ground beef.

  2. Cook noodles.

  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.  Lightly coat 9x13 inch casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray.

  4. Use a mixing bowl and combine the ground beef mixture, cooked noodles, cheese, water, tomato soup and pepper.

  5. In a separate microwave safe bowl melt butter and stir in breadcrumbs.  Sprinkle evenly over top of casserole.  Bake for 35 - 45 minutes until breadcrumb mixture is browned.
