As farmers, we always have ground beef in our freezer and we enjoy eating a lot of hamburgers.  But we are always looking for new and easy burger ideas to eat at home.  Using Heluva Good Dip as a hamburger topping is an easy way to add flavor to burgers!

Onions Make Me Cry

I love a light onion flavor in a meal, but I do not love cutting the onions up.  Using French Onion Heluva Good Dip to mix in the hamburger before cooking is one easy option to incorporate great flavor.  An even easier option is to put a tablespoon or two on top of the burger and enjoy!  This is a great way to use leftover chip dip!

It’s great to snack on fresh vegetables while grilling and a variety of dips make vegetables taste better and make unique hamburger toppings very convenient.

How to Grill a Perfect Burger:

  • Make a dent in the middle of the patties to prevent the patties puffing up in the center during grilling
  • Start with a hot and clean grill grate
  • Only flip once or twice
  • Never flatten burgers with your turner or spatula – this pushes the delicious juices out
  • Let the burgers rest for about 5 minutes after grilling for maximum juiciness

I enjoyed the opportunity to go on WBNS Channel 10TV and share these ideas!
